Engine Oil Cooler: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DRAIN ENGINE OIL (See REPLACEMENT )
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE OIL FILTER ELEMENT (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE OIL PRESSURE SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Disconnect the 4 hoses and remove the water bypass pipe.
- REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER BRACKET
- Remove the 2 nuts and bracket.
- Disconnect the ground wire from the cylinder block.
- REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET
- Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and filter bracket.
- Remove the 2 O-rings.
- REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 5 nuts and oil cooler from the oil filter bracket.
- Remove the 2 O-rings.
- REMOVE OIL COOLER SPACER
- Remove the bolt and oil cooler spacer from the oil filter bracket.
- Remove the gasket.
