Amplifier Antenna: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 
  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE ROPE HOOK 
  8. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  12. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK 
  13. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE TRIM ASSEMBLY RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  14. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK 
  15. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  16. REMOVE ROOF ANTENNA POLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  17. REMOVE ANTENNA NUT 
    1. Using snap ring pliers, remove the antenna nut as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:

    Wrap the tip of the snap ring pliers with protective tape to prevent damage to the part

  18. REMOVE ANTENNA ORNAMENT 
    1. Remove the antenna ornament.

  19. REMOVE AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the nut.

    3. Remove the amplifier antenna in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration.
