61 35 015 Removing and installing (replacing) control unit for Car Access System

NOTE: The comfort access system is a radio-based system and can be interfered with by radio waves from other systems (e.g. mobile phone).

Necessary preliminary work 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unlock latch mechanism (2) and pull out control unit for Car Access System (3) in downward direction.

Replacement 

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .

Vehicles with auxiliary heater: 

Initialize Telestart hand-held transmitter  . See 64 12... INITIALIZING TELESTART HAND-HELD TRANSMITTER (T93) (FROM VERSION 03/2007 ONWARD) or 64 12... INITIALIZING TELESTART HAND TRANSMITTER (T90)
