Air Conditioning: Condenser: Removal
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
- Remove the 3 screws and extension pad.
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 clips.
- Partially remove the fender liner.
HINT:
It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner.
Partially remove it so that the bumper assembly can be removed later.
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
- Put protective tape around the front bumper.
- Remove the bolt and 8 screws.
- Detach the clip and remove the bumper seal bracket.
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- Detach the 5 claws and disconnect the front bumper as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors and remove the front bumper.
- w/ Intuitive Parking Assist system:
Disconnect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector and remove the front bumper.
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
- Remove the 2 clips and duct seal.
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ECM OUTLET DUCT (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 3 bolts and sensor.
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
- Detach the claw, and remove the 3 screws and cover.
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (See HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER SUPPORT
- Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 2 clamps.
- Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.
- Remove the 5 bolts and upper support.
- RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (See REPLACEMENT )
- DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser.NOTE:
- When loosening the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.
- When loosening the bolt, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.
- Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant discharge hose.NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser.
- DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe from the cooler condenser.NOTE:
- When loosening the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.
- When loosening the bolt, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.
- Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe.NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe from the cooler condenser.
- REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 4 bolts and cooler condenser.
- REMOVE COOLER DRYER
- Using a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the cap from the modulator.
- Remove the O-ring from the cap.
- Using pliers, remove the cooler dryer.
