Natural Vacuum Leak Detection Assembly: Removal

  1. NVLD is located on EVAP canister above fuel tank. See Figure. Disconnect negative battery cable at remote battery terminal on passenger's side strut tower. Remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK  under FUEL SYSTEMS.
  2. Disconnect NVLD harness connector. Disconnect hoses from NVLD assembly. Lift lock tab on NVLD assembly and twist the assembly counterclockwise. Pull up to remove NVLD assembly from EVAP canister. See Figure. Remove "O" ring from EVAP canister.
