Checking the component and cable

• Ignition off.

  Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) connector terminal #D8 and the ignition switch X-supply (terminal #6). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

  The voltage must be 0 V if the key is in position 0 or III.

  HINT: For the intermediate junction point and fuses, see the relevant Wiring diagram.
