Removal & Installation (C/S/V70, Except AWD Models)

  1. EVAP canister is located under right, rear section of vehicle. See Figure. Disconnect inlet and outlet hoses from EVAP canister by pressing inward on their catches while pulling hose away from canister.
  2. Remove clamp from canister shut-off valve. Squeeze clamp with a wrench to hold in place. Pry apart using a small screwdriver. Pull hose and rubber mount with EVAP canister shut-off valve from EVAP canister bracket. Remove front and rear fastening screws.
  3. Remove nut from bracket at fuel filter.
  4. Remove EVAP canister with its bracket. Loosen Torx screw on underside of bracket and separate bracket from canister.
    NOTE: Use a NEW screw clip when installing.
  5. Follow reverse order to install. Ensure all hose catches are fully engaged.
