Front Side Door Latch Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side. 

1. Raise the window to its highest position
2. Remove front side door water deflector. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Remove the bolt (1). Only loosen the window regulator (2), do not remove.

   Torque: 8 Nm

4. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1).

5. Detach emergency release cable (1) from the door.

6. Remove 3 bolts (1).

   Torque: 12 Nm 

   Installation note: Tighten bolts (1) evenly.

7. Remove the front side door latch (1) out of the door cavity.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following. All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 
2. Install front side door water deflector. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
