Inspection Procedure

NOTE: The power window control system uses a multiplex communication system (LIN communication system). Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ). Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (Main Body)

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the Techstream on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

Main Body (Main Body ECU (Driver Side Junction Block Assembly))

OK: Go to Next Step

CHECK OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF

Check the power window operation function after the ignition switch is turned off.

OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) (See MAIN BODY ECU )

REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (KEY-OFF OPERATION FUNCTIONING WINDOW)
1. Replace the power window regulator motor assembly (See REMOVAL for Front Door, REMOVAL for Rear Door) for the window that still operates when more than 45 seconds have elapsed after the ignition switch was turned off.
PERFORM INITIALIZATION (APPLICABLE LOCATION)
1. Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (See INITIALIZATION ).
CHECK OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF
1. Check the power window operation function after the ignition switch is turned off.
  OK: The power window does not operate when more than 45 seconds have elapsed after the ignition switch was turned off .
  
  NG: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) (See MAIN BODY ECU )
  
  OK: END (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)
