Rear Coil Spring: Removal

HINT:

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  2. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for 2WD)  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR LH (for 4WD)  (See REMOVAL )
  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  5. DISCONNECT REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL  )
  6. DISCONNECT REAR SUSPENSION NO. 2 ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Loosen the bolt from the suspension member side.
      NOTE: Do not remove the bolt and nut. Only loosen them.

    2. Support the No. 2 suspension arm LH with a jack.
      NOTE: Place a wooden or rubber block between the jack and arm.

    3. Remove the bolt and nut from the axle carrier side.
    4. Slowly lower the jack, and disconnect the No. 2 suspension arm from the axle carrier.
  7. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING INSULATOR UPPER LH 
    1. Remove the insulator upper from the coil spring.
  8. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH 
    1. Remove the coil spring from the suspension No. 2 arm
  9. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING INSULATOR LOWER LH 
    1. Remove the insulator lower from the suspension No. 2 arm.
