Engine Exhaust Assembly: Replacement
- DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR
- Remove the 4 nuts and 2 protectors.
- Remove the 2 heated oxygen sensors and gaskets from the front exhaust pipe.
- REMOVE RH FRONT EXHAUST PIPE
- Remove the 3 nuts from the RH front exhaust pipe front side.
- Remove the 2 bolts and lock nut from the RH front exhaust pipe rear side.
- Remove the RH front exhaust pipe and 2 gaskets.
- REMOVE LH FRONT EXHAUST PIPE
- Remove the 3 nuts from the LH front exhaust pipe front side.
- Remove the 2 bolts and lock nut from the LH front exhaust pipe rear side.
- Remove the LH front exhaust pipe from the ring.
- Remove the 2 gaskets from the LH front exhaust pipe.
- REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE
- Remove the bolt and clamp.
- Remove the center exhaust pipe from the 5 rings.
- REMOVE EXHAUST TAIL PIPE
Remove the exhaust tail pipe from the 2 rings.
- REMOVE HEAT INSULATOR
- INSTALL HEAT INSULATOR
- INSTALL EXHAUST TAIL PIPE
Install the exhaust tail pipe to the 2 rings.
- INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE
- Install a new gasket to the center exhaust pipe rear side.
- Install the center exhaust pipe to the 5 rings.
- Install a new clamp with the bolt.
NOTE: For the installation direction of the clamp, see COMPONENTS .- Torque: 32 N.m (326 kgf.cm, 24 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL LH FRONT EXHAUST PIPE
- Install 2 new gaskets to the LH front exhaust pipe.
- Install the LH front exhaust pipe to the ring.
- Install the 2 bolts and lock nut.
- Torque: 48 N.m (489 kgf.cm, 35 ft.lbf)
- Install 3 new nuts to the LH front exhaust pipe front side.
- Torque: 62 N.m (632 kgf.cm, 46 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL RH FRONT EXHAUST PIPE
- Install 2 new gaskets to the RH front exhaust pipe.
- Install the 2 bolts and lock nut.
- Torque: 48 N.m (489 kgf.cm, 35 ft.lbf)
- Install 3 new nuts to the RH front exhaust pipe front side.
- Torque: 62 N.m (632 kgf.cm, 46 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR
- Install 2 new gaskets from the 2 heated oxygen sensors.
- Install the 2 heated oxygen sensors and protector with the 4 nuts from the front exhaust pipe.
- Torque: 20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
