Heater Unit: Removal

    NOTE:

    At the time of installation, please refer to the following items.

    • Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe as far as the second ridge on the pipe. See Fig 2.
    • Install the hose clip in a position, as shown in the illustration.
  1. Remove cooling unit. See  REMOVAL  . 
  2. NOTE: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
  3. Drain engine coolant from radiator  .
  4. Disconnect water valve control cable from water valve  . See REMOVAL .
  5. Disconnect water hoses from heater radiator pipes  :
    1. Using pliers, grip the claw of clip and slide the clip along the hose. See Fig 1.
    2. Disconnect the water hoses.
    3. Remove grommet.

  6. Remove instrument panel and reinforcement  .
  7. Remove defroster nozzle and heater to register duct  .

  8. REMOVE HEATER UNIT 

    Remove the 3 screws and heater unit. See Fig 3.
