Heater Unit: Removal

- Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe as far as the second ridge on the pipe. See Fig 2.
- Install the hose clip in a position, as shown in the illustration.
- Remove cooling unit. See REMOVAL .
- Drain engine coolant from radiator .
- Disconnect water valve control cable from water valve . See REMOVAL .
- Disconnect water hoses from heater radiator pipes
:
- Using pliers, grip the claw of clip and slide the clip along the hose. See Fig 1.
- Disconnect the water hoses.
- Remove grommet.
- Remove instrument panel and reinforcement .
- Remove defroster nozzle and heater to register duct .
- REMOVE HEATER UNIT
Remove the 3 screws and heater unit. See Fig 3.

It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
