Test G: Power Seat Memory Switch Circuit
- Remove power seat control ECU from under driver's seat, with harness connectors still connected. Using a DVOM, back probe connector P21 terminals No. 19 and 9, 19 and 20, and 19 and 21. See Figure. With ignition switch on, no voltage should exist between specified terminals. With ignition switch off, voltage should be 10-14 volts between specified terminals. If voltage is as specified, go to TEST H: ECU POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT . If voltage is not as specified, go to next step.
- Disconnect seat memory switch harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between seat memory switch terminals, with switch in position indicated. See SEAT MEMORY SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST (AVALON) . If continuity does not exist between specified terminals, replace switch. If continuity does exist between specified terminals, go to next step.SEAT MEMORY SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST (AVALON)
Switch Position Terminal No. (1) Set Switch On 1 & 2 Memory Switch 1 2 & 3 Memory Switch 2 2 & 4 (1) See Fig 1. - Check harness and connectors between power seat control ECU and seat memory switch for defects. If defects are found, repair as necessary and retest circuit to verify repair. If defects were not found, check and replace power seat control ECU. See TEST D: POWER SEAT CONTROL ECU .
