Test H: Ecu Power Source Circuit

  1. Remove power seat control ECU from under driver's seat, with harness connectors still connected. Using a DVOM, backprobe connector P21 terminals No. 19 and 25. See Figure. If voltage is 10-14 volts, go to TEST I: POSITION SENSOR POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT . If voltage is not 10-14 volts, go to next step.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and power seat control ECU connector P21 terminal No. 19. See Figure. If resistance is less than 1 ohm, go to next step. If resistance is more than 1 ohm, repair harness or connector as necessary, and retest circuit to verify repair.
  3. Check ECU-B (7.5-amp) fuse in driver's side junction block under instrument panel for an open. If fuse was open, check for a short to ground in all wiring and components connected to fuse, and repair as necessary. If fuse was not open, check for and repair open in harness or connector between seat control ECU and battery.
