ECU Power Source

  1. Remove DOME (15-amp) fuse from engine compartment fuse/relay box. See Figure. Remove D/L (30-amp) fuse from instrument panel fuse/relay box. If either fuse is blown, locate and repair short circuit in affected wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Retest system. If both fuses are okay, go to next step.
  2. Reinstall fuses. Disconnect both theft-deterrent ECU connectors. Using DVOM, connect negative lead to 12-pin connector "A", terminal No. 7, and measure voltage at 22-pin connector "B", terminal No. 11 (Blue/Yellow wire), and 12-pin connector "A", terminal No. 1 (White/Blue wire). If voltage is 10-14 volts, go to KEY UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH . If voltage is not 10-14 volts, go to next step.
  3. Check for an open circuit in White/Black wire between 12-pin connector "A", terminal No. 7 and ground. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, locate and repair faulty circuit between 22-pin connector "B", terminal No. 11 (Blue/Yellow wire) or 12-pin connector "A", terminal No. 1 (White/Blue wire) and battery. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
