DTC Troubleshooting

DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "CVT System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to CVT SYSTEM CHECK .
Primary pressure sensor and its circuit check 
  1. Check primary pressure sensor and its circuit according to Step 2 through 3 of DTC P0842 / P0843  .

Are they in good condition? 
Go to Step 3. Repair or replace defective parts.
Secondary pressure sensor and its circuit check 
  1. Check secondary pressure sensor and its circuit according to Step 2 through 3 of DTC P0847 / P0848  .

Are they in good condition? 
Go to Step 4. Repair or replace defective parts.
Stall test 
  1. Perform STALL TEST .

Is it in good condition? 
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC, see TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . Replace primary pressure sensor / secondary pressure sensor (valve body assembly). Refer to VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .
