DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING: If you do not select a suitable route and take proper precautions when performing a road test, an accident can occur.
  • Select a level road with no traffic to minimize the risk of accident.
  • Perform the test extremely carefully.
  • Perform the road test using 2 persons, a driver and an assistant.
NOTE:
  • If other DTC than P0871 is newly detected during this "DTC Confirmation Procedure", troubleshoot the newly detected DTC in first
  • Confirm that the following conditions are met in this procedure.
    • Battery voltage > 10.5 V
    • 0.5 < Gear ratio < 1.0
  1. Drive vehicle at 30 - 50 km/h (19 mile/h - 31 mile/h) constantly for 40 sec. or more at "D" range. (Keep throttle valve opening constantly in this step).
  2. Stop vehicle.
  3. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF" and leave ignition mode in "OFF" for 10 sec.
  4. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
  5. Repeat Step  1) through  2) twice.
