DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "CVT System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to CVT SYSTEM CHECK .
Secondary pulley speed sensor power supply circuit check
  1. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is "OFF".
  2. Disconnect "C45" connector.
  3. Check for proper terminal connection to "C45" connector.
  4. If connections are OK, push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
  5. Check that "A1" circuit is battery voltage.

Is it in good condition?
Go to Step 3. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
Secondary pulley speed sensor signal circuit and ground circuit check
  1. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
  2. Disconnect "E19" and "E20" connectors.
  3. Check for proper terminal connection to "E19" and "E20" connectors.
  4. If connections are OK, check the following points.
    • Resistance of "B2" and "C1" circuits: less than 1 Ω
    • Resistance between "B2" circuit and ground: infinity
    • Resistance between "B2" circuit terminal and each terminal at "C45" connector: infinity
    • Resistance between "C1" circuit terminal and each terminal at "C45" connector: infinity
    • Voltage of "B2" and "C1" circuits: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")

Are they in good condition?
Go to Step 4. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
Secondary pulley speed sensor check
  1. Check secondary pulley speed sensor, see PRIMARY PULLEY SPEED SENSOR AND SECONDARY PULLEY SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION .

Is it in good condition?
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC, see TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . Replace secondary pulley speed sensor, see SECONDARY PULLEY SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
