DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING: If you do not select a suitable route and take proper precautions when performing a road test, an accident can occur.
  • Select a level road with no traffic to minimize the risk of accident.
  • Perform the test extremely carefully.
  • Perform the road test using 2 persons, a driver and an assistant.
NOTE:
  • If other DTC than P0721 is newly detected during this "DTC Confirmation Procedure", troubleshoot the newly detected DTC in first.
  • Confirm that the following conditions are met in this procedure.
    • Battery voltage > 10.5 V
    • CVT fluid temperature at engine start ≥ 10 °C (50 °F)
  1. Drive vehicle at more than 40 km/h (25 mile/h) for 10 sec.
  2. Stop vehicle.
  3. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF", and leave ignition mode in "OFF" for 10 sec.
  4. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
  5. Repeat Step  1) through  2) twice.
