Center Differential: Installation

  1. Install the needle bearing.
    CAUTION: Apply transmission gear oil onto sliding or revolving surfaces before installation.
  2. Install the adjusting washer and center differential.
  3. When replacing the center differential, select and install the appropriate transfer drive gear and adjusting washer. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL(6MT) (TY85)>EXTENSION CASE>ADJUSTMENT .
  4. Connect the center differential connector, and affix to the oil guide.
  5. Install the transfer driven gear. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL(6MT) (TY85)>TRANSFER DRIVEN GEAR>INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the extension case. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL(6MT) (TY85)>EXTENSION CASE>INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the manual transmission assembly to the vehicle. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL(6MT) (TY85)>MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
