Lens Hood: Removal

CAUTION:
- When the stereo camera has been removed, always perform the adjustment and inspection of the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>CAMERA ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION
- The heater may be heated and hot. Be careful not to burn yourself.
- Do not apply any impact to the stereo camera. Even the slightest shock will deviate the optical axis of the camera, resulting in the loss of normal operation of the camera.
- Do not touch the lenses RH and LH, cooling fan at the center and harness. If they are accidentally touched, or dirt or dust is accumulated on them, be sure to replace the stereo camera.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
- Remove the light assembly map. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>SPOT MAP LIGHT>REMOVAL
- Remove the cover EyeSight. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA>REMOVAL
- Remove the lens hood.NOTE:
Do not remove the stereo camera.
- Remove the connector lock, and disconnect each connector.
- Remove the harness from the clamp. (LH side)NOTE:
Do not apply excessive tension to the harness.
- Release the claws from the vehicle center side and remove the lens hood assemblies LH and RH.CAUTION:
- Do not hold the insulation portion of the lens hood (a). The elements inside may get damaged, causing malfunction.
- Do not press the claws of the lens hood with excessive force in order to avoid damage.
- Do not touch the coating surface of the lens hood. If there are scratches or dirt, the camera adjustment and inspection may not be able to be performed properly.
- Cover the removed lens hood with dust-free paper and the like to protect the coating surface.
- Do not hold the insulation portion of the lens hood (a). The elements inside may get damaged, causing malfunction.
- Remove the connector lock, and disconnect each connector.
