Roll Connector: Installation

CAUTION:
Refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" before handling the airbag system components. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION
- Install the steering roll connector.
- Before attaching a new steering roll connector, apply a thin coat of grease.NOTE:
If the steering roll connector is reused, check the grease amount.
If grease is insufficient, additionally apply it.Preparation items:
Grease: An item contained in the steering roll connector, KYODO YUSHI Multemp L or equivalent
- When reusing the steering roll connector, align the neutral position. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>ROLL CONNECTOR>ADJUSTMENT
- Align the position of the protrusion and install the sensor assembly VDC steering to the steering roll connector.CAUTION:
Do not rotate the steering angle sensor protrusion.
- Before attaching a new steering roll connector, apply a thin coat of grease.
- Install the steering roll connector assembly.NOTE:
Before attaching a new steering roll connector, confirm that the position is in neutral, and snap off the neutral pin.
- Connect the airbag connector. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONNECTOR>PROCEDURE>STEERING ROLL CONNECTOR
- Install the column cover assembly. Ref. to POWER ASSISTED SYSTEM (POWER STEERING)>STEERING COLUMN>INSTALLATION
- Install the steering wheel assembly. Ref. to POWER ASSISTED SYSTEM (POWER STEERING)>STEERING WHEEL>INSTALLATION
- Install the driver's airbag module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>DRIVER'S AIRBAG MODULE>INSTALLATION
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
- Perform "VDC sensor midpoint setting mode". Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U)>ADJUSTMENT>VDC SENSOR MIDPOINT SETTING MODE
