Combination Meter: Removal

CAUTION:

Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to  AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION 

  1. When the combination meter assembly is replaced with a new part, perform the variant work. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER>REPLACEMENT>VARIANT WORK 
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
  3. Release the lock, tilt the steering column to the lowest end and fully extend the column by the telescopic system.
  4. Remove the cover assembly instrument panel side LH and the ornament panel mid driver assembly. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>SIDE GRILLE
  5. Remove the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL
  6. Release the clips, and remove the light holder driver.

  7. Remove the ornament panel mid passenger and panel assembly center. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CLUSTER>REMOVAL
  8. Remove the cover starter switch. (Model without push button ignition starter)

  9. Remove the panel starter switch. (Model with push button ignition starter) Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>PUSH BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH>REMOVAL
  10. Remove the visor assembly.
    1. Release the clips and claws of the cover steering UPR.

    2. Release the clips, and remove the visor assembly.

  11. Remove the combination meter assembly.
    CAUTION:

    Be careful not to damage the meter glass or instrument panel. 

    1. Release the screws and clips and pull out the combination meter assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter assembly.
