Inspection steps
CAUTION:
Always perform a steering zero point calibration after replacing the power steering computer ASSY. (Refer to
WORK SUPPORT )
- Diagnosis codes check (CAN communication system)
- Use the SSM4 to check whether diagnosis code U0416 (VDC data error) is not being output. (Refer to
CHECKING/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC CODES )
Criteria: U0416 is not output.
OK: Go to next step
NG: Progress to the appropriate diagnosis code (Refer to DTC U0100 ENGINE DATA NOT RECEIVED; DTC U0122 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL MODULE; DTC U0416 INVALID DATA RECEIVED FROM VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL MODULE
- Use the SSM4 to check whether diagnosis code U0416 (VDC data error) is not being output. (Refer to
CHECKING/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC CODES )
- Diagnosis codes check (Vehicle stability control system)
- Using the SSM4, check the Vehicle stability control system diagnosis codes. (Refer to
CHECKING/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC CODES )
Criteria: No diagnosis code is output.
OK: Go to next step
NG: Go to "Vehicle stability control system (list of diagnostic codes)". (Refer to LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC CODES )
Replacement of the power steering computer ASSY (Refer to POWER STEERING COMPUTER )
- Using the SSM4, check the Vehicle stability control system diagnosis codes. (Refer to
CHECKING/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC CODES )
