Testing Precautions

DO NOT  hold throttle open any longer than 5 seconds to obtain steady gauge reading. After each stall test, move selector lever to "N" and allow engine to idle for at least a minute to cool down engine and transmission. If engine speed exceeds limits shown in STALL TEST SPEED  table, release accelerator immediately as clutch or band slippage is indicated.
