Road Test Diagnosis

  1. Plug in Cruise Control/Cluster Tester. Turn cruise switch on. Release brake pedal. Place cruise tester in ROAD MODE position. Press initialize button on tester.
  2. Drive vehicle above 25 MPH. Press SET/COAST switch to enable cruise control. Have an assistant observe LEDs on tester as vehicle is driven.
  3. Press initialize button on tester after cruise is set. Drive vehicle.If any LEDs on tester turn off, go to INTERMITTENT CRUISE OPERATION  .
  4. If no LEDs on tester turned off, ensure cruise control operates normally. If cruise control operates normally, check cruise control module connections. If connections are damaged or loose, replace cruise control module connections as necessary.
  5. If cruise control does not operate normally, check cruise control connections and wiring terminals. If connections and wiring terminals are good, replace cruise control module.
