BACKGROUND

The functionality for SPS in TIS2000 has been changed from and including TIS2000 edition 2004-2.

DESCRIPTION

An ECU cannot be reprogrammed if the current software is already present. In the event of such a reprogramming attempt the message "M3318: The ECU contains already the newest software version. The reprogramming is impossible." is displayed.

If SPS programming is requested during fault diagnosis and this message is displayed, continue with the next step in the fault diagnosis.
