Windshield Wiper Test 12A - Rear Wiper Not Parking In Off Position

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Ensure rear wiper switch is in OFF position. If any indicator light is illuminated, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. If all indicator lights are off, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, monitor rear wiper switch voltage. If voltage is less than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or greater, go to WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 10A  .
  3. Disconnect rear wiper motor connector. Connect test light between ground and terminal No. 1 (Brown/Gray wire) on rear wiper motor connector. Turn intermittent switch to ON position. Monitor test light for 30 seconds (minimum). If test light cycles on, and then off, replace rear wiper motor. If test light does not illuminate, replace BCM.
