DTC B3267: DECKLID Output Relay (Short To Ground Or Open): Testing

- If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM connector C2. Turn ignition on. Connect test light between BCM connector C2 terminal B12 (Brown wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 4 .
- Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If DTC B3267 is set, go to step 9 . If DTC B3267 is not set, go to step 13 .
- Connect test light between battery voltage and BCM connector C2 terminal B12 (Brown wire). See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 6 .
- With test light connected as in previous step, disconnect rear compartment lid release relay connector. If test light comes on, go to step 10 . If test light does not come on, go to step 7 .
- Connect test light between rear compartment lid release relay connector terminal C-2 (Brown wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to step 11 . If test light does not come on, go to step 8 .
- Replace rear compartment lid release relay. Go to step 14 .
- Connect test light between rear compartment lid release relay connector terminal A1 (Orange wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to step 7 . If test light does not come on, go to step 12 .
- Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram BCM. See NEW BCM SETUP under PROGRAMMING. Go to step 14 .
- Repair short to ground in Brown wire between BCM and rear compartment lid release relay. Go to step 14 .
- Repair poor connection or open in Brown wire between BCM and rear compartment lid release relay. Go to step 14 .
- Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between BCM and fuse block. Go to step 14 .
- System is operating properly at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . After any repairs are made, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If any DTCs are current, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS. If no DTCs are current, system is operating properly.
