OPERATION CHARACTERISTIC
Vehicle Starts Control
- From a standing start, torque distribution for front and rear wheels fixed by the AWD control unit, and a stable start is achieved.
- Makes stable driving with minimal wheel spin possible on snowy roads or other slippery surfaces.
Normal Control
- On roads that do not require AWD, it contributes to improved fuel economy by commanding conditions close to front-wheel-drive, resulting in better fuel efficiency.
- When wheel spin occurs at a front wheel, the AWD Control unit commands and distributes optimum torque to the rear wheels and enhances stable driving.
- The vehicle cornering status is determined according to input information from each sensor. Optimum torque is distributed to the rear wheels to prevent tight cornering/braking symptoms.
