AWD Lock Switch Signal Circuit

- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE
Perform the self-diagnosis. Is a malfunction in the CAN communication indication in the results?
YES or NO
- YES: Check the CAN communication line. Refer to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM .
- NO: GO TO 2.
- CHECK AWD LOCK SWITCH SIGNAL
WITH CONSULT-II
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Select ECU INPUT SIGNALS or MAIN SIGNALS in DATA MONITOR mode for ALL MODE 4WD with CONSULT-II.
- Is it the same as 4WD MODE SW indication when operating switch?
YES or NO
- YES: INSPECTION END
- NO: GO TO 3.
- CHECK AWD LOCK SWITCH
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect AWD lock switch connector.
- Check continuity between AWD lock switch connector M55 terminals 1 and 3.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 4.
- NG: Repair AWD lock switch.
- CHECK AWD LOCK SWITCH POWER SUPPLY
- Turn ignition switch ON"
- Check the voltage between the AWD lock switch connector M55 terminal NO.1(BR/Y) and ground.
1 (BR/Y) - Ground: Approx. 4V
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 5.
- NG: GO TO 6.
- CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Check continuity between the AWD lock switch connector M55 terminal NO.3(B) and ground.
3 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist.
OK or NO
- OK: Check the unified meter and A/C amp. Refer to UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP .
- NG: Repair or replace the harness or connectors.
- CHECK POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect unified meter control unit connector.
- Check the continuity between the following terminals.
- unified meter control unit harness connector M49 terminal No. 5 (BR/Y) and AWD lock switch harness connector M55 terminal No. 1 (BR/Y).
5 (BR/Y) - 1 (BR/Y): Continuity should exist.
- OK: Check the unified meter and A/C amp. Refer to UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP .
- NG: Repair or replace the harness or connectors.
