Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

NOTE: Driveability problems that may appear to be transaxle related may be caused by a faulty engine component. Engine-related fault codes MUST be repaired before diagnosing transaxle. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Failure to diagnose and repair engine fault codes prior to transaxle diagnosis may result in incorrect diagnosis or component replacement.
