Overdrive Switch

  1. Check for continuity between O/D switch harness connector terminals. Continuity should exist with switch in OFF position. Continuity should not exist with switch in ON position. Replace switch as necessary.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and TCM harness connector terminal No. 22. With O/D switch in ON position, battery voltage should be present. With O/D switch in OFF position, one volt or less should be present. If voltage is not as specified, repair circuit as necessary.
