Speed Sensor Circuit/MTR

Using DVOM, backprobe TCM connector. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 40 while driving 1-2 MPH for 3 feet or more. See Figure. Voltage should vary from 0-5 volts. If voltage is not as specified, check for continuity in circuit between TCM and speed sensor. Inspect ground circuit. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
