61 14... Replace front power distribution box

Special tools required: 

WARNING: Observe SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS  for handling vehicle battery.

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

NOTE: Use this operation for all existing SV fuse modules (1).

Release detents and remove SV fuse module (1) from power distribution box (2).

Take notes, and photographs where necessary, of fuse layout and relay assignment.

Remove all fuses and relays from power distribution box (1).

Release cover of positive supply (1) at detents and remove from power distribution box (2).

Release and remove positive battery cable (1) at nut.

Enter cable assignment according to pin no. (see rear of power distribution box) in table (see last operation) and take a photograph if necessary.

Attention! In the case of several different cable colors these cables must be marked again.

Open all locking pins at power distribution box and at new part.

Detail (A) shows closed locking pin, detail (B) shows open locking pin.

Unspin all cables on the power distribution box using special tools 61 0 316 , 61 0 317 , 61 0 325 .

Installation: 

Pin cable according to the noted pin no. in power distribution box.

Close locking pins at power distribution box.

Detail (A) shows closed locking pin, detail (B) shows open locking pin.

Turn power distribution box over.

Tighten positive battery cable (1) at nut.

Tightening torque 61 14 2AZ .

Fit cover of positive supply (1) at power distribution box (2).

NOTE: Make sure cover of positive supply (1) is correctly seated and locked into place.

Join all fuses and relays according to the noted assignment diagram in power distribution box (1).

NOTE: Use this operation for all existing SV fuse modules (1).

Join SV fuse module (1) in power distribution box (2).

NOTE: Ensure correct locking.
