Test E: Panic Feature Does Not Operate Correctly Using RKE Transmitter

  1. Turn ignition off. Wait 5 seconds. Anti-theft system should activate. Ensure small, anti-theft, LED light located on left side of CONTOUR emblem flashed once every 2 seconds. If system activates go to next step. If system does not activate, see appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS article.
  2. Operate panic feature using all RKE transmitters. If panic feature operates with all RKE transmitters, system is okay at this time. If panic feature operates with one RKE transmitter, replace and program transmitter. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  . If panic feature does not operate with either RKE transmitter, replace central locking module and retest system operation.
