Test E: Power Lumbar/Bolster Support Does Not Work Properly
- Disconnect the lumbar support switch connector. Measure the voltage on the Red wire at the lumbar support switch connector. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? If yes, go to next step. If no, service the Red and/or White/Red wire between the lumbar support switch and the left hand circuit breaker. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Perform the LUMBAR/BOLSTER SUPPORT test under COMPONENT TESTS. Is the lumbar support switch OK? If yes, go to next step. If no, replace the lumbar support switch.
- Disconnect the front seat back pad adjusting pump connector. Apply battery voltage to the Red wire terminal and apply ground to the Black wire terminal at the front seat back pad adjusting pump. Does the front seat back pad adjusting pump operate? If yes, go to next step. If no, replace the front seat back pad adjusting pump. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Disconnect the front seat back pad adjusting pump connector. Measure the resistance of the Black wire between the front seat back pad adjusting pump connector and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, service the White wire between the lumbar support switch and the front seat back pad adjusting pump. If no, service the Black wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
