Test C: Up/Down Reclining Operation Does Not Work Properly
- Perform the Seat Back Control Switch test under COMPONENT TESTS if the driver's seat is inoperative. Perform the Seat Regulator Control test under COMPONENT TESTS if the passenger's seat is inoperative. Is the control switch in question OK? If yes, go to next step. If no, replace the left hand seat control switch and/or the right hand seat regulator control switch.
- Disconnect the front seat motor connector in question. Apply battery voltage and ground to the wire terminals on the front seat motor connector as indicated below. See DRIVER POWER SEAT MOTOR TEST (RECLINING) . Does the front seat motor operate as indicated? If, yes, service the Grey and/or Yellow wire(s) between the front seat motor and the seat control switch in question. If no, replace the front seat motor in question. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
