Seat Back Control Switch

  1. Remove the left hand seat back control switch.
  2. Measure the resistance between the terminals on the left hand seat back control switch as indicated. See SEAT BACK CONTROL SWITCH TEST  . See Fig 1 .
  3. If the resistances are not specified, replace the left hand seat control switch. Otherwise, return to the SYMPTOM INDEX  .
SEAT BACK CONTROL SWITCH TEST

Switch Position Terminals Resistance (Ohms)
Sliding Forward 8-3, 7-6 Less Than 5
Sliding Neutral 8-6, 7-6 Less Than 5
Sliding Reverse 7-3, 8-6 Less Than 5
Lifting Up 4-3, 6-5 Less Than 5
Lifting Neutral 6-4, 6-5 Less Than 5
Lifting Down 5-3, 6-4 Less Than 5
Reclining Up 3-2, 6-1 Less Than 5
Reclining Neutral 6-2, 6-1 Less Than 5
Reclining Down 3-1, 6-2 Less Than 5
