Backup lamp actuation, function - GF82.10-P-3011C
MODEL 203 with TRANSMISSION 722.6
Function requirements:
- The transmitter key (A8/1) is located in the EIS control unit (N73) in the "circuit 15R ON" position.
- The EIS control unit (N73) actuates via the Controller Area Network bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B) the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) with the signal "circuit 15 ON".
- The selector lever of the electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) is in mode "R".
The electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) sends the "reverse gear ON" signal over the Control Area Network bus Class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C) to the ETC control unit (N15/3) and the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73). The ETC control unit (N15/3) confirms the "Reverse gear ON" request to the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73).
After receiving both signals the EIS control unit (N73) forwards the request to switch on the taillamps via CAN-B to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates via a discrete wiring the left backup lamp (E3e3) and right backup lamp (E4e3). For code (550) trailer hitch the "backup lamp ON" signal is received via the CAN-B from the trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) too and the voltage for the trailer's backup lamp or lamps switched to the trailer hitch socket, 13-pin (X58).
