Verify the following (3) for the customer's vehicle (same type of vehicle when accident occurred). If necessary, verify (4). Have the customer start the engine and depress the brake pedal strongly, and verify that the customer's knee is not fully extended.

□ Knee is fully extended Move the seat position forward from the normal position and depress the brake pedal strongly again. Explain to the customer that if the knee is fully extended, the brake pedal cannot be fully depressed in an emergency. Adjust the seat to the appropriate position, and perform a test run. If you agree with the customer that there is no problem with the effectiveness of the brakes, the inquiry is finished.
□ Knee is not fully extended Explain to the customer that if there are stacked floor coverings, improperly installed floor coverings, or unnecessary items (such as empty cans), it will prevent the brake pedal from being depressed. After removing them, depress the brake pedal strongly again. If you agree with the customer that there is no problem with the effectiveness of the brakes, the inquiry is finished. If the brakes still do not seem to operate, or if there are no floor covering problems or unnecessary items as indicated above, go to inquiry (4).
□ Other findings ()

After correcting the way to depress (seat position) the brake pedal for customer, use the brakes to stop the vehicle, and if you are satisfied that the brakes are normal, the inquiry is finished.
