Condenser Inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Discharge the refrigerant from the system. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY .) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Coolant reserve tank (See COOLANT RESERVE TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
- Air cleaner, air hose and resonance chamber No. 1 as a single unit (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
- Battery and battery tray (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
- Front under cover (See FRONT UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front tire (See GENERAL PROCEDURES (SUSPENSION) .)
- Front mudguard No. 1 (See FRONT MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front splash shield No. 2 (See FRONT SPLASH SHIELD No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
- Remove the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect the condenser for damage, cracks, and oil leakage.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect the fins for restriction or foreign matter.
- If any fins are restricted, remove the foreign matter. If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect the fins for bending.
- If there is any bending, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten the fins. If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
