Refrigerant Pressure Check

  1. Install the manifold gauge set. (See MANIFOLD GAUGE SET CONNECTION .)
  2. Start the engine and warm it up.
  3. Prepare the vehicle as follows.
    • Airflow volume: MAX HI
    • A/C switch: ON
    • Air intake port: REC
    • Airflow temperature: MAX COLD
    • Airflow mode: VENT
    • Bonnet: Open
    • All the doors and the trunk: Close
    • All the windows: Close
    • Engine speed:1, 500 rpm
  4. Verify the pressure indicated on the manifold gauge and ambient temperature.
    NOTE:
    • Measure the refrigerant pressure after approx. 10 min have elapsed from engine start.
  5. Verify that there are high/low pressure value readings within the shaded areas of the figure below.
