Rear Console Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
- Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Move the console panel in the order of arrows (1), (2) shown in the figure below, and remove it while detaching the hooks, clips.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the wiring harness clip.
- Remove the cushion tape.
- Remove the sheet cushion.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the fasteners.
- Move the rear console component in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below, detach the clips from the center lower panel, and remove the rear console component.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- When replacing the rear console, remove the upper panel component. (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
