Liftgate Opener Switch Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Liftgate upper trim (Refer to LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Liftgate side trim (Refer to LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Liftgate recess (Refer to LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Cargo compartment light (Refer to CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Liftgate lower trim (Refer to LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Liftgate garnish (Refer to LIFTGATE GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the liftgate opener switch from the liftgate garnish.

  4. Remove the cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure while detaching tabs. (With cover)

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
