Test 8: Set Speed Fluctuates

  1. Ensure engine is properly tuned. Ensure problem does not occur while driving vehicle without cruise control activated. If problem occurs without cruise control activated, repair engine as necessary. If problem occurs only with cruise control activated, go to next step.
  2. Check for binding or sticking cruise control servo cable, throttle linkage and/or throttle plate. Ensure throttle cable bracket and cruise control servo bracket are not loose. Repair as necessary. If all components are okay, repair Gray/Black wire and/or Pink/Orange wire. After repair, perform RETRIEVING FLASH CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
