Abs Warning Light Operates Normally; Abs Does Not Operate Correctly

  1. Check for ABS DTCs. See RETRIEVING CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC(s) are present, diagnose DTC. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS  . If DTC(s) are not present, go to next step.
  2. Perform ABS HYDRAULIC UNIT & CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION  under PRE-DIAGNOSIS INSPECTION. If wheels rotate properly, check brake system. See BRAKE SYSTEM article in BRAKES. If wheels do not rotate, replace ABS hydraulic unit. If wheels rotate, but rotation order is not correct, check brakeline routing to ABS hydraulic unit. Repair as necessary.
