Entering Transmitter Id Code

NOTE: It is necessary to enter the transmitter code if using a new transmitter or if using same transmitter but code was erased. If using 2 transmitters, use both when entering code.
  1. Insert ignition key. Turn ignition on.
  2. Press reset switch on door lock timer unit for about 3 seconds until door lock actuators cycle once. SeeFig 1 . This erases previously entered transmitter code(s).
  3. Point transmitter at front keyless unit. Press LOCK or UNLOCK button 2 times. Observe operation of door lock knobs (actuators) and take appropriate action as follows:
    • Door Lock Knobs DO NOT Move

Press button again. If door lock knobs still do not cycle, transmitter battery or transmitter may be faulty. See SYSTEM INOPERATIVE USING TRANSMITTER  under SYSTEM TESTING.

Wait 15 seconds. If door lock knobs do not cycle again, return to step 2). If door lock knobs cycle again, go to step 4).

If door lock knobs cycled when first transmitter was used, repeat step 3) using second transmitter. If door lock knobs cycled when second transmitter was used, go to step 4).

Repeat procedure beginning with step 2). If door lock knobs cycled twice after repeating procedure, remove ignition key. Repeat procedure beginning with step 1). If door lock knobs do not cycle twice after repeating procedure, check for system fault.

4) Immediately remove ignition key. Close all doors and liftgate. Retest keyless entry system for proper operation.
