Air Compressor Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Air compressor assembly is mounted in front of right front wheel, behind bumper cover. Compressor is electrically operated and supplies air pressure to system. A replaceable, regenerative-type drier is attached to compressor manifold. All airflow during compression or venting passes through drier. A vent solenoid, located on compressor manifold, controls air exhaustion. Air compressor assembly, except drier, is replaced as a unit.

NOTE: Air compressor solid state relay is located on compressor assembly.
