Pinpoint Test Index

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION section before disconnecting battery.

  1. Retrieve codes. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT under CLUSTER TESTING. CODES. Once codes are retrieved, or if there are no codes, go to PINPOINT TEST INDEX table, then perform appropriate PINPOINT TEST. Note that not all PINPOINT TESTS have associated codes.
  2. Many PINPOINT TESTS refer to pin numbers on EIC connector. These connectors are identified in illustration. See Fig 1 .
